Pictures here from the scene in Perth's Tay Street as a large scale, multi-agency search operation was underway following reports of a woman being spotted in the river.

Specialist water rescue teams from the Scottish Fire and Rescue service from Perth, Dunkeld and Dundee were at the scene, supported by a Command Support Unit. A specialist team from the Scottish Ambulance service was also at the scene along with the coastguard and police search dog teams. A Police Scotland helicopter from Glasgow was also sent to aid the search.
