Quality Cafe Wall Collapse
Pictures here from the scene in Perth's South Methven Street following the collapse of a wall at the rear of the Quality Cafe and the long closed Clachan pub.
No one was hurt in the incident, which saw a total of six fire appliances including an aerial platform and special USAR unit from Macalpine Road Station, Dundee. A number of police vehicles and ambulances were in attendance along with the rapid response vehicle of the Scotlands Charity Air Ambulance based at Scone.
The pavement outside the pub and cafe remains sealed off, and will be for some time until the building is declared safe.
